Review: Stuck with You

by Ali Hazelwood

Hello, we’re back with more STEM romance and I’m super happy about it. Sadie is just doing her best at her new job in a new city far away from her BFFs. An encounter with Erik leaves her reeling but she can’t escape her feelings when they get trapped in an elevator. Oh, what ever will happen? Let’s find out.

Read if you like: STEM romance, novellas, contemporary romance, chance meetings, stoic men, smart and quirky ladies.

Due to one of Sadie’s many superstitions she’s in a panic because all the croissants are gone. She a smart lady but her big brain can’t escape her success-based rituals. Luckily, the owner of the last croissant, Erik, hears her pleas and offers it to her. What follows is something straight out of a dream. But that quickly turns into a nightmare when her boss informs her just who swept her off her feet.

This. Book. Was. Hilarious.

Seriously, I laughed so much. So far, I’ve enjoyed all of Ali Hazelwood’s offerings but I don’t remember laughing quite this hard. Sadie is a delightful mess and often gets lost in her own thoughts. Erik is a big block of Danish ice, but he somehow warms to Sadie even if his face doesn’t show it. Together they are a great pair and their meet cute… is too cute.

I loved how the book’s timeline switched back and forth from being stuck in the elevator to what happened three weeks prior so you could get the whole story with the added suspense and awkward tension of all the lovely and disastrous assumptions.

I need more and less. Less of all these dudes being giants. More of everything else… like, I need the full story from the first night… The. Full. Story. Please, be bonus content later. Please, be bonus content!!!

Other than that, I’m here to say that I love Ali Hazelwood and I can’t wait for Below Zero and Love on the Brain. I await them like Christmas morn.
