After rereading/listening to TCOGB I immediately downloaded the audio book for ASITE. Luckily, I had a similar experience. Because the first time I read ASITE I was exhausted. I was so excited to read and even though I did NOT have the energy I pushed myself through to the glorious revelation at the end that I had been waiting for since April 2020. With the lovely narration I was able to better connect to Sera and fully understand the truly awful life she endured to prepare her for her presentation to Nyktos which underscores all the interactions beyond that point.
I am a lore nerd. I love background information and spin-offs. I was in heaven getting to see the history of our FBA crew. I LOVED this book. I liked it before… I’m obsessed with it now. I like sweet Poppy. But Sera will fight for her right to do whatever she wants… and save anyone else she can in the process. And just so you know, I’m part of the Nyktos supremacy. I love Cas… but Nyktos… le sigh. I cannot wait for more of this story. I need to know what all went down to get the world of Solis and Atlantia in such a precarious ‘peace.’ A Light in the Flame is one of my most anticipated reads of 2022.
